All things mentioned on this Application will be confidential and only seen by the Upward Staff. Maximum scholarship monies given will equal half of Participant(s) fees. We will also set up a Payment Plan that will fit your budget.

 

Note: Remaining fees paid MUST meet November 11, 2011 Deadline. No scholarships will be offered after November 11, 2011.

* EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER! Healthy competition is encouraged, but remember Upward is about bringing kids to Christ.
 
Evaluations:
Evaluations are simply a way for our league to evaluate the skills of each participant so that all teams are created equal. The evaluations include shooting (2 stations @ 30 seconds each), dribbling (left and right hand around cones for 30 seconds), and defense (defensive slide back and forth between cones for 30 seconds). Height of each participant is also measured and taken into account. After all participants are evaluated, they are given an overall score and then assigned to a team based on that score so that the average score for all teams in each division are roughly the same.
 
EVERYONE MUST ATTEND EVALUATIONS! Final date and time are as follows:
• November 12 at 10 a.m. in First Church of the Nazarene Family Life Center
 
During Evaluations, parents are in an informational Parents meeting. All parents must attend this meeting to get pertinent information on the league and dates.
 
Team Picture:
Pictures take place during practice the week of January 16. Make sure the kids wear their uniforms to practice that week.
