EVERYONE MUST ATTEND EVALUATIONS!

During Evaluations, parents are in an informational Parents meeting. All parents must attend this meeting to get pertinent information on the league and dates.

What is Upward Basketball?

Upward Basketball is a non-competitive basketball league for children that values having fun over winning games. While learning the fundamentals of basketball every child gets equal playing time and we don't keep track of wins or losses. We have leagues for boys and girls between 1st - 6th grade.

Findlay Upward has a total of 11 practices and 8 games. Children will not only learn the fundamentals of basketball, but they will learn about the fundamentals of life through Bible Studies and Scripture Memorization. It is a fun-filled opportunity to get to know new friends and learn what Jesus has done and continues to do for us.

What is Upward Cheerleading?

We strive to provide the best sports experience to every child on a cheerleader squad. Upward Cheerleading teaches young athletes the fundamentals necessary to succeed in cheerleading and also in life. This is not about perfect routines! It’s about learning skills as well as values like sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership.

Upward Achievement Night

We end our season with a large celebration that includes a highlight video of the season, awards for all the children who participated, and a performer/entertainer who always puts on a great show.

Winning is about so much more than the final score. Upward Sports is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the "win-at-all-costs" mentality found in many children sports leagues.
